He served as Director of Anesthesia at the New York Eye Surgery Centers, as Anesthesiologist-in-Chief at Posh Anesthesia Group and as Attending Anesthesiologist at both the Brooklyn Endoscopy & Ambulatory Surgery Center and the New York Presbyterian Cornell Lower Manhattan Hospital.
He is also the director and chief Anesthesiologist at VIVA EVE, The Fibroid Experts. Dr. Soomekh received his Bachelor of Science with Cum Laude distinction from SUNY at Stony Brook, NY.
He received his medical degree and completed his residency in anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn with an emphasis in regional anesthesia. He has co-authored numerous scientific publications on a variety of topics related to anesthesia.
