Dr. Giselle Argento-Berrio is a board-certified family physician committed to affirming, equitable, whole-person care. Born in Barranquilla, Colombia and raised in the Chicago suburbs, she brings a lived understanding of navigating systems that were not built for everyone.
Her path to medicine was shaped by work as a diabetes clinical researcher, birth doula, and public-health advocate, as well as extensive travel that deepened her commitment to community-centered care. She earned her MD from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health with a distinction in public health and completed family medicine residency at Swedish Medical Center First Hill in Seattle, with a distinction in reproductive health.
Dr. Argento-Berrio provides LGBTQ+-affirming primary care, including gender-affirming hormone therapy, mental health support, and comprehensive care across the lifespan. Through Adwuma Family Medicine, she is building a practice rooted in trust, autonomy, and respect—where patients are seen, believed, and honored exactly as they are.
