Hi, I’m Alex (she/her)! I’m a queer, millennial, southern-raised woman, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My background in performance, dance, yoga, and mindfulness deeply shapes how I work — with a focus on the body, the nervous system, and the layered stories we carry. Whether you’re coming in solo, with a partner, polycule, or family, I bring a trauma-informed, somatic, and attachment-focused approach to support your healing. I weave together modalities like narrative therapy, parts work (informed by Internal Family Systems), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you feel more connected, grounded, and aligned.
In my formative years of training, I interned at the Institute for Human Identity, a non-profit therapy center providing LGBTQ+-affirming mental health care to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities since 1973. In private practice, I primarily support women who are often taught to take up less space — specifically LGBTQIA+ identifying and artists/creatives/performers. However, I welcome all who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community!
I offer services that honor the full complexity of who you are — your identity, your body, your relationships, and your history. These services are reflected in my areas of expertise and continuing education, including: couples/relationship therapy; sex/intimacy/pleasure therapy; somatic modalities and body-based healing practices; services for artists/performers/creatives.
If you feel like I may be a good fit for your current therapy needs, please reach out to me at alexdillonlmft@gmail.com to schedule a complimentary 20-minute consultation call.
