Dr. Alissa Klein (they/she) is a pelvic health physical therapist at Indigo Physiotherapy’s Roland Park location. They earned their Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and is a trained pelvic health physical therapist through Herman and Wallace. Dr. Alissa was first introduced to the specialty of pelvic health during their own postpartum healing and, over the course of their training and education, has enjoyed diving into the expansive scope of the field. They recognize the immense role of reproductive, sexual and urogenital health in everyday life and are honored to play a part in each client’s journey.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Dr. Alissa deeply understands the importance of access to respectful and affirming care, especially in the field of reproductive and sexual health. They have completed continuing education through the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy on the topic of gender inclusive care. They enjoy working with clients of all genders, although they are only taking AFAB clients at this point in their training. Outside of work, Dr. Alissa enjoys spending time with their wife and two young children and being out in their community. They have a movement background in gymnastics, circus acrobatics and dance.
