Dr. Amanda McKinney (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in psychological evaluations, gender-affirming care, and LGBTQ-affirming therapy. With over a decade of experience, she is dedicated to providing warm, affirming, and evidence-based care to individuals across the gender and sexuality spectrum. Dr. McKinney has extensive experience conducting assessments for autism, ADHD, and learning differences, as well as completing evaluations and letters to support access to gender-affirming medical care, including WPATH letters.
Qualifications:
Dr. McKinney holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) and is licensed in both Illinois and Indiana. She has completed specialized training in LGBTQ-affirming care and gender diversity, including WPATH-aligned assessment and documentation practices. In her clinical work, she prioritizes creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment for clients to explore their identities and access affirming support. Dr. McKinney also provides supervision and consultation to other providers working with LGBTQ and neurodivergent clients.
