Hi!
My name is Anne Jenks, and I have been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2014. I am passionate about providing quality, personalized care to each patient. I believe all patients should be treated with respect and feel safe to be themselves and share their life experiences with their healthcare provider, free of judgement or condemnation.
I have worked with many patients (both children and adults) identifying as LGBTQIA+. I continue to work on enhancing my skills with continuing education centered around the lived experiences and healthcare needs of LGBTQIA+ identifying patients. I have significant experience working with transgender Veterans.
I have most recently completed the following continuing education courses:
Population-Based Health in Practice: Addressing HealthRelated Social Needs for LGBTQ+ Patients
Population-Based Health in Practice: Improving Gender Informed Care Through an Understanding of Personal Pronouns
Actionable Strategies in Your Role as an Advanced Practice Provider in Creating Equitable Care
Culturally Respectful Care: Integrating Equitable Depression Screening and Linkage to Care in Your Practice
Increasing PrEP Uptake and Confident Use for HIV Prevention in Diverse Communities
