I’m Brianna Gomez, a pre-licensed counselor born and raised in Miami, Florida. I hold dual master’s degrees in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana Monroe. My therapeutic approach is grounded in trauma-informed care with a strong foundation in narrative therapy. I also integrate techniques from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), grief counseling, and attachment-based practices. This combination allows me to help clients make significant changes in treatment while still providing an affirming and supportive experience which is guided by each individual at their own pace.
My clinical experience comes from working in a trauma center where I gained valuable training experience while supporting children, adolescents, and adults from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and personal identities. I specialize in helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, grief (non-death loss such as family separation included), and life transitions. Throughout my work I have developed a strong sense of appreciation for minority stress and how such stress may affect anyone’s mental health. In our work together, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to reshape your story and explore new ways of being. I believe that healing is not a linear process — there will be ups and downs — and that’s okay. Learning how to navigate life’s difficult moments can lead to growth, resilience, and lasting change.
No one should have to face life’s challenges alone. Together, we can work toward healing, clarity, and a stronger sense of self — one day at a time.
