Caidin obtained his Master of Social Work degree from Florida Atlantic University in May of 2022. He completed his clinical internship at Compass Community Center, working with children, adolescents and adults who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. Caidin is a neurodiverse non-binary transgender male and has a passion for working with members of the transgender and gender diverse community, neurodiverse community, as well as folks who are interested in exploring their gender and sexual orientation. He approaches his work from an anti-oppressive, client-focused lens and utilizes evidence-based approaches including EMDR, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, systems theory and motivational interviewing. Caidin is also an active LGBTQ+ advocate and transgender researcher. He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE), World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), Health Professionals Advancing LGBT Equality (GLMA) and was named the 2022 NASW Palm Beach County Unit Student Social Worker of the Year. When not at work, Caidin enjoys exercising and competing in the sport of fitness, playing flag football, and spending time with friends, family and his dog. He was a 2021 Out Athlete sponsored by the OUT Foundation, participates in the National Gay Flag Football League and received the 2022 Compete Sports Diversity Molly Lenore Inspirational Athlete Award.
