I practice poly/CNM inclusive and affirmative therapy and welcome all forms of partner/intimate relationships. Intimate partner relationships are one of the most common types of chosen family! They mean so much to us and that is why it can be so hard when we encounter struggles here. In some ways, partner relationships are similar to other family relationships but they also present some unique experiences and challenges.
Chosen families are welcome and family therapy can include parenting, sibling relationships, multigenerational concerns, blended family changes, or any other challenges families may face.
I have both personal and professional experience in the LGBQIA+ and poly/ENM communities and I am currently completing my dissertation on the ways providers are or are not meeting poly/ENM client needs when it comes to therapy goals. These communities and the trans/NB community have been at the core of my therapeutic work from the beginning and this is a big reason I chose a social justice-oriented program when starting my doctoral degree. I am continuously receiving training and learning skills that will help my clients.
