As a social worker since 1993, holding an MSSW since 1997, I am required to receive regular training and continuing education in issues of diversity and culture. Beyond that, I have pursued specific training, including with OutCare, focused on providing informed and affirmative care.
As a queer, neurodivergent Gen Xer, I bring a unique lens to my practice and have a passion for helping couples repair their relationships. I have extensive experience working with lesbian individuals and couples, as well as those in ENM (Ethically Non-Monogamous) and polyamorous relationships. My commitment to the LGBTQ+ community dates back to the early 1990s when I worked in an Iowa HIV/AIDS clinic and developed meaningful relationships, participating in initiatives like reading names with the Names Project for the Ryan White quilt.
My approach is holistic and integrative, recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. I provide accessible telehealth services in Arizona, Iowa, and Oregon, offering a safe and affirming space for LGBTQ+ clients to pursue healing, strengthen their relationships, and navigate life’s challenges.
