I’m a queer, trans, non-binary LCSW who specializes in mental health care for trans and queer teens and adults. Other identities I occupy are white, disabled, and educationally privileged. My graduate research work focused on the experiences of non-binary emerging adults, and I’ve used my research and lived experience to inform my work with and training on behalf of the trans and gender-expansive community. I’ve received additional training from the Diversity and Resilience Institute of El Paso (DRIEP), the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, and most importantly, reading and listening to the experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals. I completed the Gender ASSET training which offers a standardized model of care for providing gender affirming medical care assessments and letters, informed by trans perspectives. I also provide training in the community through a program I founded, the Trans Empowerment Coalition, focused on engaging and mobilizing allies in support of the trans community.
