I firmly believe the relationship between client and therapist – i.e. you and me – is critical to one’s growth in therapy. So let me introduce myself.
After working for over 10 years as a clinical social worker and program manager in Gender Affirming Medical care at two large hospital systems (MN, UT) I needed more balance in my life so I started my private practice. It’s been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I enjoy helping individuals navigating healthcare concerns like HIV, fertility, and gender affirming medical care. I also help folks address historical traumas, life transitions (however we define this), new families forming & reforming, relationships ending and divorce, sexuality and gender exploration, and support families and individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. I approach therapeutic work with a foundation of supportive and strengths-based approaches to building trust between us. I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS) but I am also trained in EMDR therapy and come from a queer liberation perspective.
I am a WPATH GEI SOC8 Certified Member and can write gender affirming surgical letters.
