As a gay man and licensed therapist, I bring both lived experience and clinical expertise to LGBTQ+ affirming care. My personal journey navigating the world as a queer person deeply informs my therapeutic approach. I understand firsthand the courage it takes to build an authentic life in a world that doesn’t always make space for us. I’m deeply committed to creating a therapeutic space where queer and trans clients feel seen, understood, and celebrated because I believe having a therapist who genuinely understands your identity creates the foundation for transformative healing and growth.
I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ clients through identity exploration and coming out processes across the lifespan, gender identity exploration and affirmation, and the unique mental health challenges facing our community, including minority stress, internalized stigma, and building meaningful community connections. I also work with clients navigating sex, intimacy, and relationships within queer contexts, as well as life transitions specific to LGBTQ+ experiences. My practice is grounded in the understanding that queer joy, resilience, and authenticity are just as central to our work together as addressing the challenges we face.
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently pursuing advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which have expanded my therapeutic toolkit and deepened my ability to serve clients holistically. I actively pursue ongoing continuing education focused on the evolving needs and experiences of the LGBTQ+ community because this work is central to who I am as both a clinician and a member of this community.
