I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor dedicated to dignity, integrity, and personal expression in counseling. In my work with clients, I have specialized in substance use concerns, LGBTQ+ exploration, minority religious interests, and healing from trauma. I believe strongly in the right of each individual to determine the course of their treatment and their life, and in my role as a clinician to help each individual overcome the obstacles that prevent them from living their life to the fullest. In this process, I use cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and person-centered approaches to assist and guide you in your personal exploration. I am also trained in EMDR through EMDR Consulting and currently pursuing certification.
When possible, I incorporate personal interests in nature, wildlife, music, and all things “geek” to come up with creative and unique approaches to counseling. I draw on previous experience counseling college students dealing with life transitions, and community members dealing with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and grief.
