I am a part of the DEI committee at MNGI Digestive Health as well as the Digestive Health Physicians Association ( a national organization of independent GI practices). I care deeply about reducing disparities in healthcare. I would like for all patients including those that identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community to feel safe and cared for when they come to MNGI. While I am not personally a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I am doing this training to learn more and to let patients who are seeking care know that they are welcome and that my practice is making efforts to provide a safe and caring environment to help them.
