When people reach out for help in dealing with life stressors, I respond in a timely, compassionate, respectful manner and seek to form a therapeutic relationship built on acceptance and trust. I help patients to find new ways to use their existing strengths in areas they find stressful and difficult. I seek out and harness their motivation to change and to enhance coping skills to effectively manage ongoing difficulties and to construct a life worth living. Therapy is a partnership that assists in functioning effectively in the present.
