Hi, I’m Grace! My specialty is working with couples, families, and individuals of all genders, orientations, and relationship structures to improve the quality of transitions through life’s obstacles, such as career change, relocation, or breakup/divorce. I enjoy working with individuals who strive to find deeper meaning in their lives, increase feelings of empowerment, improve body image, and struggle with eating disorders, mood, and anxiety disorders. I am also trained in sex therapy. My dynamic personal and professional background, along with a direct and yet warm approach, helps facilitate rapid change within my clients.
Before becoming a therapist full time, I received my Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Neuroscience at Portland State University in Portland, OR. I have also completed multiple non-profit internships outside the US in Mexico, Portugal, Cyprus, and Ireland. I have also worked in education, marketing, sales, and the customer service industry as a server and barista.
I believe therapy works best when joining you as an active teammate and collaborator. I have spent the last ten years immersing myself in different languages and cultures, and am conversational in Spanish. It is extremely difficult to meet all life’s challenges under oppressive systems such as heteronormativity, the patriarchy, capitalism, white supremacy, and often one’s family of origin. Side-by-side, we can work on building the skills you need to move through life with authenticity and self-compassion.
