Welcome! I am Helder, a dually certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). I am the founder of Emerald Psych LLC, a dedicated telehealth psychiatric practice designed to break down barriers to mental healthcare by offering accessible, high-quality, and deeply affirming psychiatric services. My practice is rooted in the belief that equitable healthcare is a fundamental right. I am deeply committed to providing a safe, radically genuine, and strictly judgment-free virtual space where LGBTQ+ individuals can show up authentically and receive care that honors their complete selves.

Through Emerald Psych LLC’s secure telehealth platform, I serve clients across New Jersey. I provide comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, affirming medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. My clinical focus includes, but is not limited to:

– Supportive psychiatric care for transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals.

Education, Training, & Memberships

My clinical foundation is built on rigorous academic training and a commitment to lifelong learning. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University and completed my Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification at Wilkes University.

I am an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Society of Psychiatric APNs (SPAPN), which keeps me engaged with the latest legislative updates and clinical best practices advocating for client rights and mental health equity.
