LGBTQIA Health has been one of my passions since starting medical school. I was president of Midwestern’s LGBTQIA Advocacy group and while in school I focused on arranging lunch lectures on Trans Health Care and advocating for gender neutral bathrooms on campus. In residency I developed a learning track geared towards LGBTQIA Healthcare. Included in that was publishing a literature review on Intermittent PrEP, multiple shadowing opportunities with other LGBTQIA providers in the Chicagoland area, lecturing on HIV care for Primary Care and Trans Health Guidelines and overall serving as an advocate for my LGBTQIA patients in residency. I am excited to bring LGBTQIA healthcare to Lake County, to continue learning about LGBTQIA healthcare, and to continue advocating for my LGBTQIA patients.
