As an ally supporting the LGBTQ community, I am a counseling psychologist in the Indianapolis area who provides adult individual therapy and couples therapy. I use a compassionate, collaborative, and supportive approach in my clinical work and provide a safe space to to explore feelings, discuss perspectives, problem solve difficulties, and ultimately, experience healing. Employing a body positive, sex positive, and gender affirming stance, I honor and incorporate multicultural and intersectional realities into the therapeutic work.
In addition to my doctoral training in counseling psychology, I have obtained specific training in working with the LGBTQ community as well as post-graduate training, supervision, and consultation in sex therapy, which includes training in the area of transgender and gender nonconforming care. I work with individuals – in the context of individual therapy and couples therapy – who identify as transgender and follow the WPATH Standards of Care (version 7) as well as the American Psychological Association’s Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming People (August 2015).
As a member of the Indiana Psychological Association, I walked in the 2019 Indy Pride Parade as a psychologist supporting the LGBTQ community.
