I offer mental health counseling services for individual adults living in the state of Oregon. I have a special interest in diversity, social justice, and advocacy. As such, I enjoy working with clients who identify as multicultural and/or LGBTQ+. I have experience in trauma work including intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and childhood trauma. I also have an interest in working with self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, stress-management, personal growth, relationship concerns, and food/body issues. When it comes to my goal to serve the LGBTQ+ community, what I want folks to know is that counseling is about warmth and safety. Every person who enters into a mental health space should know that they are going to be treated with respect and kindness, but also that they will be seen and heard for who they are. You should not feel the need to hide to maintain your safety in mental health spaces. I want my clients to be able to experience holistic wellness without judgement or persecution. I want my clients to be able to work through the trauma that stems from not being a cisgender, heterosexual person in a world that is designed only for those who fit the mold. I want my clients to be able to work through the hard things and struggles that have nothing to do with gender or sexual identity while still being seen and valued. I want to hold space for you. I believe that when humans are provided with the support and connection they need, they can achieve the growth and peace they are searching for.
