I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 35 years of experience providing affirmative psychotherapy for the LGBTQ+ community. I am an openly gay man whose pronouns include he/him/his, and I am licensed in both Louisiana and Georgia. For many in our community deciding to reach out for help can be one of the most frightening, challenging, and important decisions an individual can make. I believe that developing a warm and trusting therapist-client relationship paves the way for a productive and effective counseling experience. Whether we are addressing the complexities of anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, sexuality, or grief working from the perspective of a nurturing client-centered perspective makes it possible to openly and honestly address even the most difficult issues. I frequently draw from Resilience, Mindfulness and Positive Re-positioning theories to help clients find rapid relief from feelings of loss, loneliness, fear, frustration and conflict.
