Hi! My name is Jude, I am a LMSW licensed in the state of Maryland. I am a transmasculine queer person with a passion for connecting with and supporting others in my community.

I entered the field of social work with the vision of providing a safe and supportive space for LGTBQ+ people to explore themselves, take care of their mental and emotional well-being, and know that there is someone in their corner who is truly invested in them. In graduate school I took courses on LGBTQ+ specific counseling, and throughout my career have continued to attend trainings on the topic. In past workplaces I have made it a priority to be, not only a mental health provider, but also an advocate by working with leadership to overhaul policies to make them more LGBTQ+ inclusive and to create and administer trainings to the staff and new hires on LGBTQ+ competent care. I have worked with LGBTQ+ youth and adults in many stages of their lives. I have a strong passion for working with young trans people who are beginning to navigate their relationships with gender, explore coming out, and making steps towards transition. Helping LGBTQ+ youth feel seen and supported is incredibly fulfilling.

Currently I work in a virtual group practice with Maryland Therapy Collective where I see people of all ages, and aim to provide high quality care to other members of my community. I am able to accept BCBS and Cigna insurance plans, as well as self-pay. I am happy to offer a free 15 minute phone call with anyone who might be interested in services to see if we will be a good fit!
