Kaycee Wilson, LMHC, ATR

Kaycee is practicing in Indiana as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, EMDR Certified Therapist, and Registered Art Therapist. She obtained her BFA in photography and MA in Art Therapy/counseling from Herron School of Art & Design at Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis.

Kaycee’s post-graduate clinical experience began in 2015 at an addictions treatment center where she facilitated group Art Therapy and substance abuse counseling throughout all levels of care. She later transitioned to a group private practice in 2018 where she provided trauma-focused individual therapy for adults. She established her own private practice in 2023 with special interest in serving adults with childhood trauma, Service Members/Veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community and adults in helping professions.

Kaycee’s areas of specialty include the following: anxiety, depression, addiction, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma and PTSD as well as issues relating to loss of identity, lack of meaning and purpose in life, poor self-esteem, and difficulty with emotional regulation and expression. Kaycee is dedicated to providing safe and affirming care to members of the LGBTQ+ community. She also specializes in the treatment of military specific issues, such as traumatic stress injuries related to combat operations and difficulty readjusting to civilian life.

She utilizes a strengths-based and collaborative framework to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic alliance and provide individualized care to her clients. Some of her approaches include EMDR, Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Existential approaches.
