Hi, I’m Kitt! I am an LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) providing therapy and counseling in the Baltimore, MD area. I use they/them pronouns, and I identify as trans and nonbinary. I practice therapy as a means to break down systems of oppression through individual and community empowerment, relationship building, and skills development. I enjoy working “beyond the binary” with all of my clients, helping you hold space for multiple truths while also remaining true to yourself.
I offer individual, relationship, and family therapy in person at my shared office and virtually through telehealth. I use approaches such as Relational Cultural Theory (RCT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatics (body-based healing), Mindful Self-Compassion, and visual and expressive arts, as well as other creative activities, in my therapeutic work.
I value creating space specifically for clients of marginalized identities and backgrounds. I have training and education in working with clients of diverse sexualities, racial and ethnic identities, faiths and spiritual practices, neurotypes, bodies, and abilities. I have experience working with clients who are people of the global majority (PGM)/BIPOC, come from collectivist cultures, and have personal and familial experience with immigration and forced migration. Although I do not share the same lived experience as many of my clients, I intentionally work to understand, be with, and connect across difference by building a strong relationship, practicing self-awareness, and taking a social justice-oriented stance. I abide by the Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies and the social justice imperative outlined in the American Counseling Association code of ethics. My practice is guided by values of autonomy and self-determination, transformative justice, and collective liberation.
