I view therapy as a collaborative process, and believe that the most important part is creating a space where you feel understood. As someone who has been both a client and a provider, I understand the challenges that come with reaching out and trying to find a good fit, telling your story, and hoping that the therapeutic relationship is a match. I have an open and flexible style. My priority when we begin is to listen to what brought you here so we can have a discussion about what you hope to get out of therapy and how I can best support that.
The majority of my experience has been working with other LGBTQ+ individuals. I worked previously at an LGBTQ+ group home, given training and consultation to other providers, and assisted the creation of an LGBTQ+ outpatient therapy program which I oversaw. I feel deeply passionate about supporting my community, and I have both lived experience and training in how to best do that. At the end of the day, training and personal experience aside, I view each individual I work with as the person who knows what is best in their unique situation and I will work as a collaborator to figure out what path to healing makes the most sense for you. I also have experience working with neurodivergence, trauma, attachment styles/attachment trauma, boundaries, relationship challenges, conflict, anger management, life transitions, existential anxiety, and more.
My main priority is making sure you find your best fit. I offer free 15-minute calls where we can begin the process of making sure I am the right provider for you. I welcome you to bring your full self to the therapy space, and believe everyone deserves the right to process their full experience without judgment or shame.
