I identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and I bring both my professional training and lived experience into the therapy space. I understand how complex it can feel to navigate identity, belonging, and safety—especially when those experiences intersect with culture, family expectations, and systems that don’t always affirm who you are.
As an immigrant and a person of color, I’ve also experienced what it’s like to rebuild a sense of self in a new cultural context. That process—of questioning, adapting, and finding your footing—deeply informs how I show up as a therapist. I aim to create a space where clients don’t have to translate or minimize parts of themselves to be understood.
In my work as a medical social worker in a large urban hospital, I’ve supported LGBTQ+ patients across a wide range of complex and often vulnerable situations. This includes helping individuals navigate identity-related stress, family dynamics, medical trauma, and advocating for their relationships and identities to be respected within healthcare systems that can sometimes feel invalidating or unsafe. I’ve worked closely with patients during critical moments—whether adjusting to new diagnoses, making difficult care decisions, or coping with limited support—and I bring that same level of attentiveness, advocacy, and respect into my therapy work.
In our work together, I take a collaborative and affirming approach. I draw from ACT, CBT and other therapy modalities to help you make sense of your internal experiences, reconnect with your values, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and authentic. Whether you’re exploring identity, navigating relationships, or processing the impact of stigma or marginalization, therapy with me is a space where you can show up fully as you are.
