I am a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for holistic and inclusive mental health care. As someone who values the complexity of identity, I strive to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment for all my clients, including those in the LGBTQIA+ community. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care, with particular attention to clients navigating intersectional experiences such as gender identity, neurodiversity (ASD, ADHD), and complex mental health conditions.

I have specialized experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals on a wide range of concerns, from identity exploration and relationship challenges to managing the emotional impacts of gender dysphoria, minority stress, and trauma. My approach is collaborative, empowering clients to define their own sense of self and well-being. I’m a strong advocate for assisting with helping individuals receive gender affirmative care, and making the process of letters of readiness as painless as possible–while ensuring to match up with what insurance/surgeons need to see to get the care folks deserve.

I have been an active panel speaker at several Pride events, including as a keynote speaker for Northwoods Pride in 2022 (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/6trxs5qJrXSbPP4w/), and panel speaker for Point Pride as a part of their Authentic Identities Event and Pride Celebration in 2024 (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/ncs79tn5VrLZrqfi/). Within my agency, I also provide continuing education to my team surrounding LGBTQIA+ challenges, awareness, and to assist in providing local community resources to relay to their clients.

In addition to my direct practice experience, I’ve pursued ongoing LGBTQIA+ education, including professional CEUs on topics like trauma recovery for LGBTQIA+ youth, ethical considerations in gender-affirming care, and intersectionality in mental health treatment. My goal is to continue advocating for LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly in creating safer, more affirming spaces in mental health and social work practices.
