I am a headache medicine fellowship-trained neurologist practicing in New York City. I believe strongly that the best headache treatment outcomes are achieved through a collaborative therapeutic alliance with my patients. I regularly engage in advocacy efforts to support communities disproportionately affected by headache disorders, including LGBTQIA-identifying individuals. I have spoken about the effect of stigma on headache control and published about the care of transgender and non-binary people with migraine. I am passionate about promoting headache education and regularly teach medical students, residents, and headache medicine fellows at Mount Sinai. I am a co-founder and leader of the LGBTQIA+ Health special interest group of the American Headache Society. As a gay man who experiences migraine myself, I am grateful for the opportunity to connect on a personal level with my patients about their experiences with headache disorders.
