As a Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional and Supervisor to Master Social Workers, I have been practicing with the LGBTQIA+ communities since 2004. I am also a part of this community. I’m passionate about helping people find comfort with themselves and in their communities. Building social supports, self-acceptance, coping skills, and resource referral are some but not all of the things on which I focus. Texas is a hard state in which to live and practice, given our political climate. I like to help people find their comfort zone, get through crises with support, connect with community and work toward their ideal life. I’m considered supportive, personable, accepting and soothing (according to clients). I love to meet people in person in my office, and can do tele health sessions for residents of Texas.
I grew up in the midwest, Southern IIlinois, lived and was initially professionally licensed in South Florida, have lived many places in the US, and settled in Austin in 2009. I have a life partner and 2 dogs.
