Hi. I am a cisgender out member of the queer community. My practice, experience and education have been focused on gender and sexuality for over 30 years. This has included working with LGBTQ+ issues for young people and adults, such as coming out, gender expression along the continuum, transition, and dealing with the impact of trans and homophobia. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I have devoted my professional life to understanding the needs of my community and make it a priority to offer a place of unconditional support and acceptance. This includes working with kids, teens, parents, families and couples (including non-monogamous relationship arrangements) around issues related to gender and sexual orientation, as well as the many aspects of living in our community here in NC. Having grown up with parents who were active in the civil and human rights issues, I have a particular affinity for those who are brave enough to be leaders, crusaders and progressive activists in our current political climate.
So, however you identity, or just prefer not to be labeled at all, I’m right there with you. So, whether you are needing help related to gender or sexual orientation or not, I help people address anxiety, depression, substance abuse, life stressors, including work, school and relationships, as well as other challenges they may be facing. I am here to help people navigate understanding and celebrating all aspects of themselves, their children, their parents, and their partners to find peace, acceptance and belonging.
