In PA school participated in a rotation in Anacostia in DC helping HIV, and transgender patients receive safe care – I thoroughly enjoyed this rotation. Now, I see many of our LGBTQ+ patients in our practice in GI and help to provide a safe space, trusting with wonderful care. I wear an alley flag daily on my stethoscope.
