As a queer, Black therapist, I bring both lived experience and clinical expertise to the work I do. I offer a warm, affirming, and culturally responsive space for LGBTQ+ individuals, especially Black and Brown queer folx, first-generation clients, and those navigating intersecting identities. My approach to therapy is holistic and trauma-informed. I integrate somatic work, movement, mindfulness, and community connection as part of the healing process.
I specialize in supporting clients dealing with anxiety, identity exploration, trauma (including racial and LGBTQ+ trauma), and relationship dynamics (including non- monogamous relationships and queer family systems. My work is rooted in decolonizing traditional psychotherapy and challenging the stigma surrounding mental health support for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities.
I hold CEUs in Gender Affirming Care and LGBTQ+ Trauma-Informed Therapy, and I’m a member of several queer and trans clinician networks as a peer, ally, and support person. I’m an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and am deeply committed to mentoring and uplifting other therapists of color and queer clinicians through supervision and community-centered practice. I regularly center the cultural nuances, needs, and lived experiences of LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities in my workshops, research, and clinical projects.
I offer EMDR, emotion- focused somatic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), yoga-psychotherapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. I support folx navigating coming out, gender transitions, medical trauma, religious harm, internalized shame, and relationship challenges in a safe and nonjudgmental space.
Currently, I provide virtual therapy for individuals, families, and relationships throughout California, Nevada, and Washington, DC. I also offer clinical supervision, consulting, and organizational wellness services that align with human rights values across race, gender, and sexuality.
