Dr. Oniel Laucella is a doctorally prepared, board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-BC), and Advanced Practice Holistic Nurse (APHN-BC) providing evidence-based, LGBTQIA+ affirming mental health care across the lifespan. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, Dr. Laucella brings both lived experience and clinical expertise to his work, integrating psychiatry, holistic medicine, behavioral health, and wellness-focused care to support meaningful, culturally responsive, and sustainable mental wellbeing.

Dr. Laucella works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, stress, burnout, grief, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, and identity-related stressors. He is especially passionate about creating safe, nonjudgmental, and culturally responsive spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals, gender-diverse populations, and underserved communities, including Black, Brown, and other historically marginalized populations.

His practice is grounded in trauma-informed, person-centered care that recognizes the connection between mental, physical, emotional, social, and cultural wellbeing. He also has a strong interest in integrative and holistic approaches to mental health, including mindfulness, lifestyle interventions, resilience-building, and behavioral wellness.

In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Laucella is certified in Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid and holds the HIV Primary Care Provider (HIVPCP) credential, reflecting his commitment to inclusive, stigma-free, and culturally sensitive care for diverse populations. He has also been involved in healthcare education, mental health advocacy, wellness initiatives, and projects focused on health equity, inclusive care, and behavioral health innovation.
