A quote that I often think about states: “I’m keeping an eye on the future, an eye on the past, and the present in my pocket.” The message from this is the focus of my practice – to help you process past trauma, to empower and encourage you to work toward fulfilling goals, and to teach you to be more mindful for increased life satisfaction. If you find yourself struggling with anxiety or depression, dysfunctional relationships, the lasting impact from trauma, the challenges of current events, or desiring to work through any experiences as a member of the LGBTQ+ population, then we may be a good fit! I have a clinical focus in traumatic experiences, family systems trauma, work/professional stress, and the impact of medical health on mental health. I practice from a trauma-informed, gender-affirming, HAES-aligned lens, utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, mindfulness practice, and Shame-Informed Therapy. I use an empathetic, warm, and genuine approach, as it is my goal for my clients to feel accepted and heard, even when being encouraged or gently challenged. I practice from a place of intuition and curiosity about your process and utilize humor and kindness to help you grow and learn. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Minor in Women’s Studies from The University of Akron and my Master’s in Social Work from The Ohio State University. I have been practicing at Tomorrow Begins Today since 2017 and am welcoming new clients!
