I am a dually Registered Intern for both Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy in the state of Florida, serving adults of all ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and abilities. My practice as a therapist includes techniques from various modalities including intersectional feminist theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, systemic therapy, person-centered therapy, and emotion-focused therapy, in conjunction with a social justice lens. I am a Black and Afro-Latina queer cis woman, intersectional feminist, social justice advocate, and a proponent for sex-positivity.
When we meet, you are likely to find a transparent, empathetic, humble, charming, and relatable individual. My uniquely intersecting identities allow me to connect with and help my clients navigate a plethora of identities and life struggles; by creating a safe space, I help clients explore what is distressing them without the need to explain the intricacies of the identities that they inhabit. My office is a judgment-free zone and I invite my clients to unpack whatever they need to in session. I believe that all of my clients are experts on themselves. When we collaborate in therapy, together we will find the best possible strategies that empower clients to improved mental health.
