
Sam Beck is a board-certified oncology genetic counselor with a master’s degree in genetic counseling from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology and biology from Utah Valley University. She has specialized training in hereditary cancer risk assessment and works in the Family Cancer Assessment Clinic and the High-Risk GI Genetics Clinic. Her clinical focus includes pancreatic cancer, Lynch syndrome, polyposis syndromes such as FAP, JPS, and PJS, and other hereditary cancer syndromes. Sam provides comprehensive risk evaluation, genetic testing coordination, and counseling to support informed care and cancer management for individuals and families. Her research reflects her commitment to expanding access to genetic services across the Intermountain West, with an emphasis on improving care delivery for underserved communities including LGBTQ+.
