I am a registered nurse with 33 years of experience caring for families with newborn babies. I became a lactation consultant 10 years ago and have had the pleasure of working with all types of families including LGBTQIA+ parents and their infants. I have encouraged and assisted both partners to breast/chest feed and have used devices such as Supplemental Nursing Systems (SNS) and specialized nipple shields as needed. I want every family to receive the lactation care they deserve and to be treated with respect.
