Sherri Miller, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, (she/her/hers) is the founder and principal speech-language pathologist of Speech & Language Resources. She is board certified through ASHA. Sherri began her career in 1976 working with hearing impaired, language-learning disabled children and adolescents in the public school setting. After receiving her Master’s degree from Northeastern University in 1980, her experience broadened to include working with adults after neurogenic incidents. This includes aphasia, cognitive disorders, swallowing disorders, oral myofunctional disorders, and foreign accent modification. For the past 28 years, she then became very interested in voice and developed different techniques for voice modification for the transgender population. She runs an online TG voice group online n order to have a safe place to practice one’s voice. She provides workshops for First Event in Boston as well as for home health agencies, hospitals, educational staff, and parents. In addition, she had been a guest lecturer at Northeastern University and is an adjunct professor at Worcester State University teaching voice modification. She is the past Chair of the Private Practice Committee of MSHA as well as the past President of PROBUS (Professional Business) a professional organization that helped raise money for those with disabilities including support for Camp Arrowhead, Natick. She was an integral initiator of the Insurance Bill which provides the consumer with the benefits of insurance reimbursement for speech therapy in private practice settings. Sherri is a resident of Framingham. She is a widow who found love again online! She enjoys spending time with her daughter and friends. She also enjoys the outdoors, including camping, water sports, collecting sea glass, gardening, as well as music, dancing, crafts, and sewing.
