I am an OBGYN in the Twin Cities. I provide full spectrum obstetric and gynecology care for patients of all gender identities and sexual orientations. Some specific LGBTQ+ services: menstrual suppression, management of bothersome gynecologic effects of testosterone (dryness, abnormal bleeding), contraception (including bilateral salpingectomy regardless of pregnancy history, etc.), gender-affirming hysterectomy. Other clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, fibroids, infertility and menopause symptom management.
Due to some personal issues I had been afraid of getting examined at all, but Stephanie made the whole procedure very comfortable. Her nurse/assistant asked my pronouns beforehand and she made sure to gender me and my partner correctly. While talking about issues she mentioned some of the things that happen on testosterone as well as post-menopause. Her language was official but presented casually and she explained everything I had questions about without seeming to have gender norms expected, clarifying if the language she was using felt okay to me. Overall I felt listened to and taken care of, I’d recommend her to anyone, but in particular my trans and gnc friends.
