I grew up the only and mixed-race (Black and white) child of a single, white mom in Los Angeles and often didn’t know where I belonged. I realized in young adulthood I was bi/pan and that came with homophobia and biphobia. My intersectionality is inseparable from the life experiences that have shaped me and it made me curious about how to help people feel seen in all their identities and wholeness. I opened my private practice at the beginning of the COVID pandemic because I wanted to create a welcoming place where other intersectional folks could get therapy without sorting through microagressions and emotional labor just to get help. I’m a highly sensitive person (HSP) who is in her zone of genius when she’s helping someone to be truly seen, heard and understood. I thrive and love working with the LGBTQ community.
