I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who is transgender, queer, neurodivergent, and in long term recovery from my own eating disorders. I strive to work from a weight inclusive and social justice lens. Because every person is truly unique, I believe in developing a strong alliance with each client to work together towards lasting healing from disordered eating. Some of my core values include agency, informed consent, and intersectionality in exploring and understanding the roots of the eating disorder as well as an authentic path to long term food and body liberation.
I have been working with LGBTQ+ individuals since 2015. Through the years I have also focused on trans/gender expansive affirming care as well as care for neurodivergent clients, and clients with chronic illness, and ARFID. Creatively exploring recovery for each unique person is something I enjoy working together with clients to achieve. I believe inclusive, informed, and accessible care is vital in healing.
As a provider who is trans and queer, I understand some people prefer a clinician with (a) shared identity/(s) and others may not. With this privilege, I strive to provide a safe and judgment-free space to explore nutrition in the context of identity if that is something desired in working toward finding peace with food, nutrition, and body.
I completed my BS degree at Texas State University and both my MS degree and dietetic internship at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Since then I have moved across the US several times and currently live in beautiful Colorado on the stolen lands of the Ute, Cheyenne and Arapahoe peoples.
