I am a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist and the founder of Woven Communication. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I know how deeply communication is tied to identity, belonging, and authenticity. My practice is built on the belief that every person deserves to feel safe, affirmed, and supported in their communication journey.
My Approach
I specialize in neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and identity-centered speech and language therapy. My work is grounded in creating spaces where LGBTQ+ clients and families feel respected, empowered, and understood.
Specific LGBTQ+ Services I Provide:
-Gender-affirming voice and communication therapy for transgender and nonbinary clients (not using a binary or medical model) (pitch, resonance, intonation, nonverbal communication, and vocal health).
-Support for clients navigating communication in LGBTQ+ contexts, including affirming language use, social communication, and self-advocacy.
-Parent and caregiver coaching to help families create affirming environments for LGBTQ+ youth.
-Speech and language therapy that integrates sensitivity to intersectional identities, neurodiversity, and the lived experiences of each client.
Qualifications & Training
-Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
-Specialized training in gender-affirming voice and communication services.
-Ongoing continuing education in LGBTQ+-affirming care, trauma-informed therapy, and inclusive healthcare practices.
-Active engagement in professional networks and communities advancing LGBTQ+ equity in speech-language pathology and healthcare.
