I am a bilingual/biciltural, culturally sensitive trauma trained and sensitive therapist. I have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a masters degree in Public Health. I have been working in the field for over 30 years. This work has specifically been with HIV positive women, their children, and GLBTQ youth. I started the adolescent program for GLBTQ youth at the Howard Brown Health Center in Chicago and provide GLBTQ services to many suburban youth and their families, specifically those that are Spanish speaking. I have done research in this area as well as in the areas of perinatal HIV, HIV and women, HIV and Adolescents, GLBTQ and youth, and am now doing so with congenital syphilis.
I strive to provide each client with an individualized care plan that is evidence based and delivered with respect, compassion and education. My goal is to work with you as a partner using the proper techniques tailored to your needs and individual goals while focusing on the mind body connection.
