Laura is a pansexual and neurodivergent licensed clinical social worker practicing in Tennessee (fully licensed) and Georgia (practicing under supervision).

Laura’s therapeutic style is warm, kind, and honest, and she is skilled in empathetically challenging folks according to their goals and values. She uses a person-centered approach that cultivates genuine connection, embodiment, and empathy for oneself and others. Laura creates an inviting space where clients can show up authentically without fear of judgment.

Laura is passionate about trauma-focused work, and she specializes in supporting queer clients through traumatic experiences, childhood trauma, chronic or ongoing trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, and more. She also specializes in general LGBTQIA+ issues, neurodivergence including ADHD, autism, AuDHD, and obsessive-compulsive disorder as well as mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar.

Laura practices from a decolonized, queer-affirming, culturally-sensitive, and trauma-informed framework, and she is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure-Response Prevention (ERP), and more. Laura understands that each client is unique and may require a combination of approaches to facilitate healing and growth. She also brings her lived experience as a queer and neurodivergent therapist to ensure you have a provider who truly understands.

Throughout her career, Laura has served as a program supervisor, intern supervisor, and therapist in both in-patient and out-patient settings. She has provided care most often to low-resourced, LGBTQ+, diverse communities, delivering human-centered services to children, adults, and families. She is fat-allied, queer-allied, sex positive, kink and BDSM-allied, trans-allied, ENM and poly-allied, disability-allied, and believes in the liberation of all people.

Outside of therapy, Laura spends much of her time raising her super cool son and hanging out with her partner, their cat, Atticus, and their dog, Tate. Laura is also a skilled special effects makeup artist, loves to swim, and creates intricate diamond art. She is also a foster parent and is passionate about providing a safe and loving home to children in need.
