Crystal Savoy, RD is a registered dietitian who provides inclusive, affirming nutrition care for LGBTQ+ individuals across the lifespan. Her work is grounded in respect for bodily autonomy, lived experience, and the understanding that health exists within complex social, cultural, and identity contexts.
Crystal is committed to creating a therapeutic space where LGBTQ+ clients feel seen, respected, and safe. She practices with awareness of the ways weight stigma, diet culture, gender norms, and systemic bias intersect with sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Care is collaborative, trauma-informed, and centered on each client’s unique needs and goals rather than assumptions about bodies, identities, or behaviors.
In her nutrition counseling work, Crystal supports LGBTQ+ clients navigating concerns such as disordered eating, eating disorder recovery, body image distress, chronic dieting, gastrointestinal conditions, metabolic health, and general nutrition support. She understands that many LGBTQ+ individuals have experienced harm, dismissal, or discrimination within healthcare systems, and she prioritizes consent-based, non-judgmental care that honors each client’s pace and boundaries.
Crystal affirms clients of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions, including transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse individuals. She uses inclusive language, respects chosen names and pronouns, and remains attentive to how gender dysphoria, minority stress, and social pressures can influence relationships with food, body, and health.
As part of her ongoing professional development, Crystal stays engaged with continuing education, current research, and evolving best practices related to inclusive, weight-neutral, and equity-informed nutrition care. She is committed to continued learning and reflection to better serve LGBTQ+ clients with humility, curiosity, and accountability.
