Eilakeisha Spencer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who provides LGBTQ+ affirming therapy for adolescents and adults ages 14 and older. She works with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and interpersonal techniques to help clients build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and strengthen emotional well-being.
Eilakeisha has experience across multiple treatment settings including residential programs, assisted living, correctional facilities, community mental health programs, and outpatient therapy. These experiences have shaped her commitment to providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed care for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
She has a strong dedication to supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and understands the unique stressors that can affect the community, including minority stress, family conflict, discrimination, and identity development. Eilakeisha regularly engages in professional trainings focused on best practices for clinicians working with LGBTQ+ clients to ensure her care is affirming, informed, and inclusive.
In addition to her clinical work, Eilakeisha is the co-founder of a Massachusetts-based LGBTQ+ nonprofit organization that focuses on community building, advocacy, and culturally responsive programming. She is especially passionate about supporting marginalized communities, including Black and Brown LGBTQ+ individuals, and believes healing begins when clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
