Please allow me to tell you my history. I come from a nursing background in emergency nursing. I have always been interested in mental health counseling and chose mental health counseling as my second career. After having many experiences in life and helping people and patients through crisis and difficult times, I now have the confidence and knowledge base to assist others through challenging times in their lives. I have been practicing for five years with those age eight to elderly. This has included the LGBTQ+ community. Although this community was not unknown to me and I had worked in the emergency room, my fundamental knowledge greatly increased when my child transitioned many years ago. I became intimately familiar with many members of the community as I was introduced and privileged to meet so many wonderful individuals as their energy and mine crossed paths. As a result, I have made many friends and welcomed clients into my practice. My heart is full for this community, especially with the trials tribulations of today’ world. As a mother, I have the urge to take everyone into my arms and “make it better”. But the reality is to make it better, I have to help you become stronger, more confident in who you are as a human being and let you shine.
I feel I can be of service to those in the community and their families and provide assistance in whatever phase of life they are currently living/entering. No one should have to go through difficult times alone – especially in this world that can often present as dangerous and fearful. I am here to help you help yourself.
