If you’ve ever had to “vet” a provider before trusting them with your story, I’d like this profile to save you some of that work. I’ll start with the stuff that matters before anything else:
I’m a biracial, cis-het male, and an ally. I’m affirming of LGBTQIA+ identities, BIPOC clients, and the full range of consensual relationship structures — including ethical/consensual non-monogamy (ENM), polyamory, and kink.
I’m a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, concentrated in Crisis, Disaster, and Trauma Counseling. In practice, that means I’ve trained specifically for the moments that split a life into before and after: the anxiety that never fully turns off, the sadness without one clear cause, the relational strain that’s been building for years. Big or small, sudden or slow-building, I know how to meet you there.
I currently offer telehealth-only counseling in Missouri, with an approach shaped by the needs of underserved communities and populations. If you’re outside Missouri, or you know someone who could use extra support but isn’t looking for (or isn’t eligible for) traditional therapy, I also offer mental health–focused life coaching in all 50 states.
I also work with Project THRIVE, a St. Louis-based initiative dedicated to affirming, community-engaged care for the LGBTQIA+ and people living with HIV (PLHIV) communities. I’m also proud to support our past and present Military community and their families.
Now, more about what might have brought you here:
Maybe you’re the one everyone leans on — the friend who always has it together, the one who isn’t allowed to fall apart. Your mind doesn’t stop: replaying a conversation from three days ago, scrolling at 1 a.m. because sleep won’t come, bracing for something that hasn’t gone wrong yet. And still, you show up. You smile. Nobody would guess how much you’re running on empty.
Depression might have convinced you that you’re just lazy, when really you’re carrying weight nobody else can see — the kind that makes small things feel enormous. Anxiety might have you bracing for impact before anything’s happened, or replaying every word you said an hour ago. And maybe part of what you’re carrying isn’t just sadness or fear — it’s the extra vigilance of moving through a world that doesn’t always understand who you are. You’re not lazy. You’re not too much. You’re just tired — the kind sleep doesn’t touch — and quietly wondering why you can’t just get it together.
Whatever brought you here, I want you to know:
You don’t have to carry this alone.
I don’t see you as a symptom to manage or a problem to fix — I see this as a collaborative journey back to yourself: your values, your voice, your sense of purpose. My role is to walk alongside you, not ahead of you, in a space that’s safe, affirming, culturally responsive, and judgment-free.
My approach isn’t one-size-fits-all. I draw from several approaches with foundations in:
🌀 Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you make room for difficult emotions instead of fighting them, so you can move forward guided by what actually matters to you.
🧠 Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) helps you notice and challenge the inner critic and the beliefs that keep you feeling stuck, anxious, or not-enough — and replace them with thoughts that free you up instead of weighing you down.
🌿 Transpersonal Therapy honors that healing isn’t only mental or emotional — it can be spiritual, too. Whatever holds meaning for you, whether that’s faith, nature, creativity, ancestral connection, or your own personal practice, there’s room for it here.
💞 The Gottman Method offers research-based tools for partners of any configuration and individuals who want to rebuild trust, communicate with more care, and deepen connection — even when things feel tense, distant, or broken.
As the African proverb goes: “One does not carve a tall statue without resting one’s hand on something.”
Everyone needs a steady hand. If you’re ready — or even just curious — I’d be honored to be that support for you.
You’ve already taken the hardest step by being here. Let’s take the next one together.
