I have personal and professional experience with LGBTQI+ youth and parents. In my work and life, I am committed to advancing affirming, inclusive lactation care for LGBTQI+ families through clinical practice, research, and education. My work focuses on creating systems that feel welcome to all gender identities; providing individualized care that respects each family’s goals, bodies, identities, and feeding choices; expanding the evidence base on lactation, chestfeeding, and infant feeding among LGBTQI+ people; and educating physicians and other health professionals nationally and internationally to provide respectful, evidence-based care. I have authored and co-authored publications and educational resources in LGBTQI+ lactation and regularly speak nationally and internationally on these topics.
